Begüm Erciyas / new research
1 August - 13 August 2017 @ STUK, Leuven 

Begüm Erciyas was born 1982 in Ankara / Turkey. While studying molecular biology and genetics in Ankara, she was engaged in various dance projects in Turkey and became part of [laboratuar], a performing arts research and project group. Later, she studied at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria.
 
Among her recent works are Ballroom (2010), this piece is still to come (2012). A Speculation (2014) and Voicing Pieces (2016), produced by Platform 0090. 

As a first step towards her new creation in 2019, Begüm started a residency in Stuk Leuven.
