Marc Vanrunxt has been invited by Platform 0090 to go to Istanbul for a week in the frame of 0032. For Marc it is an opportunity to get acquainted with the city and its artists. At the same time, local dancers and producers will be immersed in Marc’s work. The idea is to take his oeuvre as a starting point to exchange ideas and concepts on art and choreography. This will result in an interaction between the ways in which Marc and the artists living and working in Istanbul are operating. 

The one-week programme includes:

a workshop organised by Marc

a documentation of Marc’s work by means of videos, conversations and debates

visits to dance schools and companies

a presentation of the performance ‘Discography’ (Discografie 2013)

In short, this first contact and exchange of ideas will provide a platform for an artistic collaboration and coproduction of Platform 0090 and Kunst/Werk at the end of 2015/ the beginning of 2016.
