Meryem Bayram @ Istanbul

“Eponymous Object Anomalous” is a solo exhibition marking a new phase in Meryem Bayram's research into the autonomy, position, and character of objects. The exhibition consists of site-specific installations that explore the tension between the human desire for stability and the inevitability of disruption. The installations were developed in close collaboration with the exhibition space.

As part of 0032, Meryem Bayram is working closely with Performistanbul—a research space in Istanbul that exhibits, studies, and archives performative art. Performistanbul is also showing some of the models that were developed during the preparations for this exhibition.
Three activations of the installations are planned in collaboration with Meryem Bayram herself and local performers: Mustafa Kaplan and Ece Çamlı, Elif Aleyna Özdem and Emre Şahin.

On Saturday, November 1, 2025, Meryem Bayram will also give a lecture/workshop on her practice and the exhibition for students affiliated with Bilgi University – Istanbul.
